Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC)

DISEC addresses issues regarding disarmament, global challenges, and threats to peace that affect the international community. Members of this committee must seek out solutions to the challenges in the international security regime. DISEC stimulates debate that is aimed at intermediate delegates, however, is also appropriate for more experienced delegates.

TOPIC #1: Discussing whether or not nuclear deterrence is necessary for international security.

TOPIC #2: Discussing whether arms transfer should be allowed to states accused of human rights abuses.

TOPIC #3: Discussing whether states should be held responsible for the crimes of non-state armed groups they support.
